Lover Unleashed tells Manny and Payne's story. It also gives fans of Vishous a heartbreaking and touching deeper look into his life with Jane and Butch. And, honestly, that story intrigued me more than Manny & Payne's did. However, Ward has a way of making me fall in love with all of the brothers (and sisters) in the BDB. Manny, such a gentleman, was the perfect mate for Payne. Their story was touching as well. I wanna glow. >;)Some new-to-me characters were introduced (forgive me, I'm not a walking BDB encyclopedia, so I can't remember if they've been mentioned in previous books or not) and they are Xcor, Throe and Zypher, the Band of Bastards. They are quite the wicked group. I look forward to seeing what becomes of that storyline in future installments. The biggest YIPPEE (small - more, please!) part for me was Qhuinn. Finally!! Cheese and Crackers!! I thought it would never happen, dude FINALLY gets it!! Now, get your shit together, boy, and do what needs to be done to earn Blay. If I didn't like ya so much, I'd say you don't deserve him. But, damn it! I will get my Qhuinn and Blay HEA. Too bad it'll be in novella form instead of a full novel length though.I listened to the audiobook version and, as I've have said time and time again, this series ROCKS on audio! It is the way to get totally engrossed in the world and characters Ward creates for us. While I'm not choppin' at the bit for the next book, Lover Reborn, I will definitely read it. I'm interested in finding out just why No'One is the one to replace Wellsie in Tohr's heart. Hm.
