The Witness was an interesting read. The beginning sucked me in immediately. I chose this book for a challenge-read and found the audiobook at the library. If it'd hadn't been picked for a challenge, I probably wouldn't have read it. But, wasn't disappointed. The story begins with a car crash where Kendall, a public defender and superb liar, is explaining to police and rescue workers what happened. We are dropped into the present and the story works it's way back. By the end you are amazed at what Kendall's been through and surprised when you discover her reasons for lying.I would recommend this book to people who enjoy whodunit thrillers.
