Blood-Kissed Sky: A Darkness Before Dawn Novel

Blood-Kissed Sky - J.A. London Blood-Kissed Sky picks up where [b:Darkness Before Dawn|12872080|Darkness Before Dawn|J.A. I think she was upset that she didn't wake up a vampire after feeding Victor. The events during the teen party she organized, in an effort to get more blood donations, have had the opposite effect. Now, she's hopping on the night train for LA in an attempt to learn more about the Taint and the Day Walkers. She believes she's going alone, so she's a bit surprised when she finds some stowaways have tagged along. "As the world turns, vampires fear the day, and humans fear the night. But we Day Walkers fear nothing. And soon, they will all fear us."Dawn has a tendency to jump into any dangerous situation without fear for herself. She's the first to jump in front of her friends and take all the risks herself. Admirable, but she doesn't think before she acts. Never the less, she has an uncanny ability when it comes to fighting vamps. Her relationships with Michael and Victor are changing. I'd hoped for more interaction with Victor, considering his new position. But, I liked how Dawn & Victor now share a unique connection. I really like the post-vamp/human-war world that Rachel and her son (together they use the pseudo J.A. London) have created, however there are aspects of the books that feel bumpy to me and much of the story is predictable. Each book ends with a bit of a cliffhanger, which keeps me coming back. Although I can probably guess where the story is going, I look forward to reading the final book in the trilogy, [b:After Daybreak|15520672|After Daybreak (Darkness Before Dawn Trilogy, #3)|J.A.
