Sacrifice picks up shortly after book #1, Dark Time. We continue to follow Maliha on her journey to find all the shards scattered around the world and balance the scales. No longer Ageless, freed from the demon, Rabishu, Maliha's mission is to balance out the lives she's taken in the past with the lives she saved since finding that loophole.Dark Time left us with a lot of questions about Maliha's new beau, Jake. Thankfully we don't have to wait too long into this one to get some answers. I wish we would've seen more of him though. Instead, Maliha's love life is thrown a curve ball in the form of a luscious Ageless Roman Centurion, Lucius. Maliha's a very strong, independent woman with a huge amount of guilt for the things she did while under Rabishu's control, but she's also got a big heart when it comes to the people she's allowed into her life and made her friends.I enjoy this dark urban fantasy series very much and look forward to Maliha's continuing story in book 3.
